PhD student at Notre Dame and his dog looking for a roommate to share a 2-bed, 1-bath apartment in Central High Apartments in downtown South Bend.

The free bedroom comes partially furnished, including a bed frame, bed, pillow, work desk, chair, and... trash can. You'd be free to use these items, or replace them with your own. Common areas are furnished.

Rent is $1310 per month. Factoring in water/sewage, electricity, and internet, your half would likely come to somewhere around $742 per month, give or take.

Central High Apartments is within 2-5 minutes' walking distance from:

--a number of great restaurants (e.g., Fatbird, Woochi, Cinco 5, Peggs);

--a number of great bars (e.g., Fiddler's Hearth, LaSalle Kitchen & Tavern, Spirited);

--a number of great coffee shops (e.g., South Bend Chocolate Factory, Java, Chicory Cafe);

and the Morris Performing Arts Center.

It's only a slightly longer walk to the river and to Howard Park.

The drive to campus is about 7 minutes, and there are a number of bus stops within easy walking distance.

Central High also includes a fitness room with dumbbells, a cable machine, and some cardio machines.
