Getting Around/Transportation
Transportation is readily available around South Bend, wherever your destination. For rides around town or to the airport, taxi services are readily available.
FREE (and environmentally friendly) transportation by bus is available to anyone who has a Notre Dame ID card. Pick-up points for the Transpo bus system are located all over campus and the routes cover almost anywhere in town you would want to go.
Lastly, if you want to plan a quick trip to Chicago or need to get to one of Chicago’s airports, local bus lines as well as the South Shore Line train (located at the South Bend Regional Airport) can quickly get you over to the Windy City.
